This study examines the economic efficiency of commercial aquaculture in the region, considering production costs, profitability, market trends, and the role of government policies. The research highlights the challenges faced by the industry, including environmental concerns, resource management, and technological limitations. By analyzing successful models from other regions, this paper provides insights into improving economic efficiency through sustainable practices and modern technologies. The findings suggest that targeted investments in infrastructure, improved management strategies, and policy support can enhance the financial viability of aquaculture in Uzbekistan and the broader Central Asian region.
