Abstract

This article analyzes the economic significance, initial costs, and long-term financial efficiency of green investments within business operations. Today, factors such as climate change, volatile energy prices, stricter environmental regulations, and consumer demand for environmentally responsible companies are prompting enterprises to reconsider their investment decisions. While green investments may initially appear as an additional financial burden, measures such as improving energy efficiency, utilizing renewable energy sources, reducing waste, and ecologically modernizing production processes can—in the long run—lead to reduced operating costs, efficient resource utilization, and enhanced competitiveness and investment appeal. Drawing on academic literature and international practice, the article examines the impact of green investments on business performance and substantiates the need to view them not merely as costs, but as long-term strategic investments.
