Abstract

The article examines the theoretical aspects of assessing the impact of corporate governance on the economic efficiency of construction companies. The research substantiates that in the construction sector corporate governance affects efficiency through strategic discipline, transaction-cost reduction, risk management, transparency, digital monitoring and stakeholder coordination. Based on institutional, agency, transaction-cost, resource-based and stakeholder approaches, an integrated conceptual model and a system of assessment criteria are proposed. The scientific significance of the study lies in adapting the governance-efficiency relationship to the sectoral characteristics of construction enterprises and in forming a methodological basis for further empirical analysis.
